QC Laboratory Technician
Job overview
Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound CaCO₃ powder and natural stone per ISO 9001:2015 procedures. Operate laser particle analyzers, whiteness meters, particle size testers; prepare COA and MSDS for each batch.
Key responsibilities
- Sample and analyze CaCO₃ powder per batch (whiteness, CaCO₃, moisture, particle size)
- Operate analytical equipment: laser, XRF, whiteness meter, sieves
- Prepare COA and MSDS for customers as needed
- Track and store quality records per ISO 9001 procedures
- Coordinate with production team to handle non-conforming batches
- Participate in internal audits and ISO assessments
Requirements
- College/BS in Chemistry, Mining, Materials or related field
- 1–3 years of lab/QC experience; mining industry preferred
- Comfortable with basic analytical equipment: laser, sieves, whiteness meter
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality system
- Detail-oriented, disciplined, accurate record-keeping
- Basic English reading comprehension for technical docs
